The UK heating system

This study applies the Multi Level Perspective (MLP) on the UK heat system. It combines niche and regime analyses to assess the feasibility of a transition in the UK heat system. For this, the following niches are considered: heat pumps, smart heating controls and meters, small-scale biomass, solar thermal, district heating, and low-energy retrofits. The regime analysis is broken down into heating and housing. 

The German heating system

This study applies the Multi Level Perspective (MLP) on the German heat system. It combines niche and regime analyses to assess the feasibility of a transition in the German heat system. For this, the following niches are considered: heat pumps, smart metering , small-scale biomass, solar thermal, low per-capita floor areas, and low-energy housing. The regime analysis is broken down into gas heating systems, oil heating systems, district heating, and residential building stock.

The Swedish heating system

This study applies the Multi Level Perspective (MLP) on the Swedish heat system. It combines niche and regime analyses to assess the feasibility of a transition in the Swedish heat system. For this, the following niches are considered: heat pumps, district heating, waste heat recovery, indvidual metering and billing, small-scale biomass, and low-energy housing. The regime analysis is broken down into the district heating regime and the heat pump regime.
